Nowadays many milk suppliers are supplying pasteurized milk, mixed of different breeds in the name of fresh A2 milk. They are not farm owners. They don’t even own any farm or cow. They are aggregators or we can say, middlemen.
We thoroughly investigated and found that 95% of the so-called milk suppliers do not even know what is the difference between A1 and A2 milk. They are claiming to be procuring milk from Satara district, some are claiming to be procuring from the outskirts of Pune and some are claiming to be procured from some other places.
Those middlemen or aggregators or so-called milk suppliers collect the milk from thousands of small farmers and resell that with pasteurization and adulteration. Usually, those middlemen mix various substances like hydrogen peroxide, urea, detergent, artificial milk thickeners, formalin, and melamine, etc. into the milk to maintain its freshness, thickness and to increase the protein count falsely.
Some buyers say, our milk price is high compared to other a2 milk providers in the market. Well, Gir cow milk yield is very less and maintenance is high compare to HF and Jersey Cows. That’s why Gir Cow A2 milk price is higher than any ordinary milk in the market. If someone selling you milk @ ₹70/-, ₹80/-, ₹90/- in the name of A2 milk, please do investigate from where the milk is coming from. The cheap so-called A2 milk could be harmful if it is not coming from the correct source. Before you subscribe to any milk supplier, please do investigate from where the milk is coming actually.
The choice is yours to buy cheap, pasteurized, and fake A2 milk coming from Satara, Pune, or any outskirts, or to buy from genuine farms like Captain’s Farm, where cows are fed with Organic fodder, where milking is done after feeding the calves generously, where there is no any Hormones or Oxytocin injections are given to the cows to enhance the milk production.
